July 2, 2025 - Current update

Thank you to those that came to the Borough Council Meeting on Tuesday July 1 to directly address your questions or concerns. Below is an update from Laceyville Borough/Laceyville Water Company:

There have been several truck loads of water brought in, which has greatly improved the levels of the water reservoir, which you have probably noticed from your increase in water pressure. We are working to get the 2nd well online and approved – there is an extensive battery of tests required to make this happen and to get the reservoir to a level that will meet DEP standards and allow the water conservation restriction and boil advisory to be lifted. At this time, there is no time frame available for the completion of this process. It is moving forward as quickly as possible.  Please continue to follow the water conservation and boil advisory until further notice. The water tanker is still available at the Borough lot. If anyone needs help getting water, please contact anyone on council as we have volunteers willing to help you. More than $60,000 of Borough funds have been spent so far to handle the situation. Please remember, the Borough has limited personnel resources to work on the situation, therefore your cooperation as Borough residents is essential.

June 2025 - The below notice is until further notice - meaning it will be in effect until we announce otherwise. Attention Laceyville Water Customers. Reminder that it is still mandatory to conserve water until further notice. Absolutely no pool filling, washing cars, or unnecessary use is permitted. There is still a water boil advisory until further notice. The water tanker is available at the Borough lot. Please bring your own containers to haul water. The situation could continue for the next couple of weeks. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
